Blogs have lost their cool in favor of the 140 character Tweet or Facebook status update. Three years ago, I had my google-reader all set up for my favorite blogs and I revisited it recently after more than a year long absence. I was surprised to see even the most prolific of bloggers had less than a hundred new entries. These folks used to have a new blog post everyday, sometimes more than one.
When my father & stepmother died last year, I spent almost half the year 1200 km from home, cleaning out a 4000 square foot hoarded house. I'm not a hoarder (yet), but I am a pile-in-the-corner-maker and I'm constantly losing important or interesting things and then finding them 2 months after it was relevant when I finally cleanup my pile.
I am returning to blogging in the effort to organize my thoughts. Maybe if I put it here, I can resist putting it in the pile eh?
